About me!

 

Hi, my name is Yellie! In 2004, I was hired by the JET program, which is a government agency that invites foreign teachers to Japan to teach English in Japanese schools as an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT).  When I first heard I would teach at Kakujo High school, I could not find Oita on a map, let alone Saiki city!  But when I arrived, the nature was so beautiful and the people so warm and friendly, I felt like this was home.  I have lived in Saiki ever since.  After five years at Kakujo High school, I went to work for the Saiki City Board of Education.  I was an ALT in junior high, elementary, and kindergartens all over the Saiki area. I love Saiki and the students of all ages that I have taught here, and I hope that I can give back to the community through my teaching.  

 

こんにちは、私の名前はイエリーです ！2004年に、私は政府機関のJET プログラムから外国人指導助手（ALT) として日本の学校で英語を教えるために雇われました。最初、大分県立佐伯鶴城高等学校聞いたと佐伯市ではおろか、地図上で大分県を見つけることができませんでした。ちょっと不安もありましたが、着いた時、綺麗な自然とフレンドリーな佐伯の人々に歓迎され、私は、”ここが私の故郷よ”っと思うようになりました。それ以来。佐伯に住んでいます。佐伯鶴城高等学校で5年教えた後、佐伯市教育委員会でALTとして仕事に行きました。私は佐伯市のすべての中学校、小学校および幼稚園に行きました。私は佐伯市も佐伯市で会った人と英語を教えてきたすべての人を心より愛しています。これから、私は佐伯市の人々に私の指導を通して恩返しをしていきたいと思っています。宜しくお願いします。
